Building Stratagies

We have many ideas to increase our robots chance of passing any test, but before that, the main problem is with the robot itself. Since some robots are large in length, one of their problems would be its weight on each side. Using beams attached to other beams would allow each beam to reinforce each other. The idea of our build requires absolute symmetry in order for it to preform turns and actions which include the use of all our 4 sensors. The main idea of all this is to use beams to hold the NXT and the bot together without letting it tilt while turning or breaking up while moving.

I'm surprised that you abandoned the idea of just using the traditional Taskbot, then making modifications to it? Why did you decided to completely rebuild? How will you ensure that you can complete the obstacle course in a reasonable amount of time?

Quite interesting and informing, yet I dont really think the picture fits, since we are encouraged to use the studless beams rather thatn the studded beams.
btw, what do you think we should name the robot? I thought Goliath sounded cool, what do you have in mind?

You got your fundamental ideas down. Perhaps you can develop your ideas on the programming aspect of the robot. Hope to see the completion of your robot!
